Banda larga móvel atinge valor recorde de 6,8 milhões de utilizadores

“O número de utilizadores de serviços da banda larga móvel cresceu 17,7% no segundo trimestre de 2017, face ao mesmo período de 2016.

No final de junho existiam em Portugal 6,8 milhões de utilizadores de serviços típicos da banda larga móvel. O valor é o mais elevado até à data e revela um aumento de 17,7% em termos homólogos.

A Anacom refere que o crescimento da utilização destes serviços está associado ao aumento dos utilizadores de Internet no telemóvel – 20,5% face ao mesmo período de 2016 -, e à crescente taxa penetração dos smartphones – que atingiu 72,7% no final de junho, segundo o Barómetro de Telecomunicações da Marktest.”

Mobile broadband reaches a record 6.8 million users

“The number of users of mobile broadband services grew 17.7% in the second quarter of 2017 compared to the same period in 2016.

At the end of June there were 6.8 million users of typical mobile broadband services in Portugal. The figure is the highest to date and shows an increase of 17.7% year-on-year.

Anacom reports that the growth in the use of these services is associated with the increase in mobile phone users – 20.5% compared to the same period in 2016 – and the growing penetration rate of smartphones – which reached 72.7% at the end of June, according to the Marktest Telecommunications Barometer.”

MINE at a conference in Germany

Petra and Tim have presented a poster of MINE on a conference in Chemnitz, Germany (http://bildungsraeume2017.de/). The Topic was, roughly translated, ‘rooms for education’. Our room, following this topic, can be interpretated as online and not bound to a physical place. We had some nice talks and impressions which will be brought back to our project.
